@ Louis : Hello, Actually this is not paint.This is color made up of herbs and is not harmful for them.It also keeps their body cool and that's why elephants are quite happy with their body tattoos.They don't wash it but when elephants take bath they naturally vanish after some time.
I wonder what kind of paint you use on an elephant? There is no end of the designs.

ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I noticed the adorned tusks! Maybe I just missed that in some of the other photos. Very attractive!
