It's fun and interesting to see the instruments - I just wish I could HEAR them, too!
I'm not sure, but I think I have a similar "instrument" hanging in our kitchen. Probably doesn't give out the same sound, though.And pay no attention to Mr. Hagen. He's tone deaf so it wouldn't matter if he could hear them! ;-)

This instrument is known as "Thali".This is a Brass plate a thick one and a Wooden Stick.When hit on the Thali sound comes.Beautiful Instrument.
